The Mercedes-AMG C43 and SL43 Quietly Got More Power + E-Class got RWD
The four-pot mill now makes 416 horsepower, an increase of 14 hp. Torque remains unchanged, at 369 lb-ft. The preceding version took 4.6 seconds to 60 mph, but the sports sedan now does the job in 4.3 seconds. The C43 isn't the only AMG to get more power for 2025 since Mercedes' performance division has also tweaked the SL43. Its four-pot now produces a C43-matching 416 hp, up by a considerable 41 hp over the previous model year. Torque has improved as well, growing by 15 lb-ft to 369 lb-ft. The newly added oomph has cut the sprint time by two-tenths of a second to only 4.6 seconds.
Traditionalists will be happy to hear the bigger E-Class can now be had with rear-wheel drive to rival the BMW 530i
BMW Slams Europe’s 2035 Combustion Engine Ban As “No Longer Realistic”
BMW has criticized the EU's 2035 ICE ban, arguing it could backfire by increasing Europe's reliance on Chinese batteries. The automaker claims the shift to electric vehicles may inadvertently hand China a stronger grip on the automotive industry due to its dominant battery production. BMW contends that Europe is not ready to replace ICE vehicles with domestically produced EVs and calls for a more flexible approach.
BMW Guarantees: Next gen M3 will keep combustion 6 cylinder engine

Maserati Is In The Red
Maserati is bleeding red ink, with the brand's luxury allure struggling to translate into profits. Despite ambitious plans to electrify its lineup and revamp its model range, sales have failed to meet expectations, and the company faces fierce competition from rivals that are thriving where Maserati is faltering. Critics argue that the brand's strategy lacks focus, with lavish spending on new technologies not yielding results.
