40% — BMW is outpacing Mercedes-Benz in terms of sales

Lets take a look at the final delivery numbers of 2023!

In 2023, BMW outpaced Mercedes-Benz by selling 210,035 more vehicles globally. BMW's total sales reached 2,517,307 units, driven by a strong performance in the premium segment and significant growth in electric vehicle sales. Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz sold 2,307,272 units (2,043,800 units if commercial vehicles are excluded). This marks a significant victory for BMW in the luxury car market as it continues to expand its EV lineup and maintain its leadership position.

60% — Ferrari aggressively pulls the plug on a few important models

Ferrari is cutting out several models, including the SF90 Stradale, Roma Coupé, 812 GTS, and 812 Competizione, as part of its model cycle refresh.

Why?

These models, which include both V8 and V12 engines, will make way for new releases that align with Ferrari’s future strategy, likely involving more hybrid and possibly electric models.

80% — Audi’s strategy to go fully electric by 2033 has now become “flexible”

After Mercedes-Benz and Porsche admitting their future plans of EV’s being a little too optimistic, Audi follows.

Audi is adjusting its strategy for transitioning to electric vehicles strongly, now adopting a more flexible approach rather than committing solely to all-electric by 2033. While still planning to offer EVs in all core segments by 2027, Audi will continue developing internal combustion engines and hybrid models due to uncertainties in EV adoption speed, regulatory factors, and market demands. Despite this shift, Audi remains committed to electrification, with €28 billion allocated for related initiatives from 2023 to 2027.

100% — Rimac CEO: Buyers don't want EV’s anymore! Another CEO admitting flop in EV strategy?

Rimac Founder and CEO Mate Rimac has disclosed that sales of the $2 million Nevera electric hypercar are falling short, with only 50 out of 150 planned units sold. He attributes the lag to a growing preference among wealthy buyers for traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, which are viewed as offering a unique, analog driving experience. Rimac likens this trend to the enduring appeal of vintage watches and suggests that demand for electric hypercars may not surpass ICE models in the near future.
